On the mysterious yacht from which gunshots were reportedly fired on Sunday evening in Palasë, several well-known figures from Albania’s business community were present.
According to sources, the yacht is owned by Geront Çela, the owner of Brunes Group.
At the time the vessel was stopped by police, four individuals were on board. They were identified and escorted to the police station for verification. Two of them are well-known names in the business sector.

One of them, perhaps unsurprisingly, is Bruno Çela, a partner and principal shareholder in companies affiliated with Brunes Group. As mentioned above, the ownership of the yacht is also linked to this company.
The other individual is Pashk Gjini, who is known by the nickname “the Albanian El Chapo.” Anton Gjinaj, also known as Pashuk Gjini and Pashk Rrapi, is a businessman whose name has been mentioned over the years in connection with drug trafficking investigations and criminal cases.
Çela and Gjini were aboard the yacht that was stopped by police after reports of gunfire at sea off the coast of Palasë.
According to police, they were on board together with two other individuals, who were also taken in for questioning. In an official statement, police said that searches of the yacht and the individuals did not uncover any illegal items or prohibited materials.
Meanwhile, later that evening, police also escorted two other individuals for questioning: Astrit Gjonpalaj, the owner of Globus Travel, and Astrit Meta, an Albanian-American citizen. However, they were later released after investigators found no evidence linking them to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to clarify the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine exactly what happened aboard the yacht that evening off the coast of Palasë.
